About LKM Editorial
LKM Editorial was founded by me, Lucy Morton. I’m a crossword puzzle lover, live music fan, and proofreader.
My experience with editing began in college when I worked as a tutor at my school’s writing center, assisting other students with cleaning up punctuation and grammar issues in their essays and papers. After earning a degree in English, I spent nearly a decade as a paralegal at a competitive law firm in Austin, Texas, serving as (among other things) the final set of eyes on countless legal and professional documents. I earned a reputation as the “go-to” proofreader in the office, editing everything from press releases to appellate briefs.
Upon moving back to my home state of South Carolina in 2020, I decided to take my love of editorial work to a new level. I founded LKM Editorial in February 2021, with the goal of using my keen attention to detail to help individuals and businesses succeed in producing clean, professional content.
When I’m not editing, you can find me in my kitchen baking, listening to a podcast, or walking around my neighborhood in Charleston, SC.
